"I had very high expectations after reading previous reviews and it exceeded all my expectations! We ordered one chicken plater and one lamp plater , $10.99 each. It was so fresh and delicious! It's a must visit place if you are near Manchester. Place is small but who cares! Owner is very friendly and generous. We will come back many times."

"We stopped here after our hockey game and got a wonderful surprise. Ali, the owner, made us a platter of Lebanese delights- chicken kabobs were to die for and humus the best is ever had. Platter was divided into three sections - salad, vegetarian and meat. It was all delicious and we even had leftovers to take home. A pure delight for the taste buds with lots of laughter.
If you're in the area it's worth the stop"

"The only middle eastern cuisine in south Windsor or even the hartford county that has the most deliciousness in one plate... This spot is a hidden gem it can't be long before they expand to a much larger location in multiple towns. The Kebob platter has all you need to have a complete balance between protein, veggies and carbs... Amazing amazing amazing flavors."
– Bill M.
"Very tasty, a must if you want to try something different and get the V.I.P. treatment! Very friendly staff and will definitely be coming back again!!"
– Dave H.
"Great find - I love Mediterranean food, and their Lebanese menu delights every time. The owner is welcoming and generous, prepares large portions of what I order and usually offers a sample of something extra. This place is a good value, and the owner takes pride in his food and in taking care of his customers. Happy to keep returning!"

Affordable, Authentic Lebanese Cuisine

Ali Alhusseini has been in the restaurant business all his life and is showing off his experience at Villa of Lebanon is South Windsor.
Alhusseini ran Villa Pizza in Bloomfield for 15 years, brought the business to New York, then decided to come back to Connecticut, he said. He soon decided to expand what was offered on the menu.
"I had to make something unique, something specialty," Alhusseini said. "People want ethnic food, authentic food. It's good to have something that you specialize in."
He was born and raised and Lebanon and worked in upscale restaurants while living there, he added.
Another reason that Alhusseini, 60, wanted to incorporate Lebanese cuisine is because he is serious about eating healthy and balanced foods, he said.
"Lebanese food is a healthy food with a lot of vegetables in dishes," he explained. "From falafel, chick peas, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, grape leaves, salads – it's all here."
The restaurant still serves pizza and Italian-American dishes such as chicken parmesan, alfredo, and shrimp scampi for customers who want to stay in their comfort zone or who want to indulge.
One of the most unique items that Villa of Lebanon offers catches your eye as soon as you enter. The variety of turning shawarma/gyro meat. The four options include, beef, chicken, spicy chicken, and lamb – which have all been seasoned and marinated. The meat is cut as customers order.
"Nobody has that around here," Alhusseini said.
With having a wide variety of fresh Lebanese cuisine, sandwiches, vegetable dishes, seafood, entrees, and a catering menu, Alhusseini could easily charge a high price, but he chooses not to.
"I look at the people and families and I feel for the family," he said. "If it's three, four people in a family I still want make it affordable."
No matter what time of day a customer comes in, Alhusseini makes them feel at home. He always asks how a person is doing, makes conversation, and jokes with them.
"I like to service people," he said. "Customer service is very important. No matter how good the food is, you have to have good service."
Brian Owens is a regular customer who usually comes midday for the lunch buffet. He has been coming for over a year.
"It's the food man, it's the best," Owens said. "I was looking for something different. It's well-priced and it's just really good; you'll be hooked."
Alhusseini is at the restaurant open to close, seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"I love it here and it only feels like I'm here an hour," Alhusseini said. "My life is my restaurant."
